We arrived Running camp in good conditions. Nice weather, and trout rising on sedges and mayfly spinners. The first days were good, and gave us some nice trouts. The largest one  was 3 kg. Last day was very hot with 29 degrees.

Picture 2

We caught 33 trouts on Running. It’s a very nice camp, with small streams, a beautiful trout river.

The second part of the week we went to lower part of river Litza, on Second Knee. It’s a very different kind of river from the upperparts, like Sami, Running, Bush and Mystic.

Picture 4

Second Knee looks more like a salmon river. Wide, big rocks, but nice to fish. The conditions turn from very hot, to very cold and windy. The group had to work hard every day. There was no rising. Almost every fish we caught was taken on Streaking caddis or Elk Hair caddis.

We caught 34 fish on second knee, in difficult conditions. The whole group worked hard from early morning to late evening, never giving up in the wind.

Despite the hard conditions we got 34 fish at Second knee. Totally 67 fish, average weight 2.01 kg. 43 of them were over 2 kg, and 4 of them over 3 kg.

Igor did his very best with camp and food. He always smiles, and know a lot about fishing. Thank you Igor for nice company during this week. Thanks to the groupmebers for  good company! Thank you to  Kharlovka Company, Kurt and Kai for giving us the opportunities to fish in those beautiful rivers.

Hope to see you all next year!

Best regards

Helge Ringhus.
