After meeting the returning groups from week 26 in hotel Meridian, the group consisting of,   From the left: Christian Gundersrud Enger, Andre Emanuelsen, Robert Bertnsen Moe, Dag Kyrre Jensen , Stian Jacobsen  and group leader Kurt Albertsen, were all eager to  experience massive hatching of mayfly and caddis. Due to the extremly late spring everything was overdue. It was still cold but weather forcast promised warm weather in the days to come….

It was soon clear that most trouts unfortunately still prefered to stay in the lakes, and their search for food has not yet brought them onto the rivers in normal numbers. Warm and sunny weather gave some light hatchings of mayflies and some moderate size trouts around 2 kg was caught in close proximity to lakes and big pools.

The conditions continued to improve and the spirit and expectations were still high. It was just a matter of time now…

Unfortunately a change to northernly cold and windy weather conditions gave us a setback. We were still able to land some trouts, but the big ones from 3 kg and up was still cruising the lakes.
