Trout Fishing Report Week 26B – 2014

Posted on 12/07/2014

Trout fishing (Big Trout, Kharlovka – Dream Litza).

Members of the group were: Erik Setekleiv. Anders Bergesen,Foad Farhadi, Fariad Farhadi, Edvard Bergene and Kjell Sømme.

Our cook was Geena, always smiling and prepare food for us around the clock!

The weather was bad the week before we went in on the Tundra with tempratures below freezing, snow, rain and wind ftom the North Pole. And it did not get much better the week we stayed at Big Trout and DreamLitza. We had one day with no hard winds, but from Sunday until Sarurday morning we had the same weather as the groups had in week 25. No fish above 1kg in Big Trout, but we managed to catch 3 fish in Dream before Erik caught a monster trout of 5.5 kg the last night of fishing!!

We had some bad luck with the weather, but all members of the group tried to make the best of it, all being exsperieced fihermen or hunters, and all knew that this can happen when you go out on the Tundra in early summer. Still, after having spent about 20 weeks in Kola, I have not seen anything like this.

But, believe it or not, all the guys want to go back as soon as possible!!
