Kharlovka week 24 ending 14th of june 2019

With military exercises affecting the first 2 weeks of the season, along with an unknown number of following weeks, we were especially delighted to see our old friends touch down into the Kharlovka camp! The conditions upon arrival on the opening Saturday were excellent with air temps well into the 20′s which drove water temps up to 10C with a water level of 41cm. The next morning the winds had shifted with cool air temps back down into the low single digits while the...

Rynda week 24 ending 14th of June 2019

The spring here at Rynda this year was fast and powerful. Rynda river opened from ice about May 9th and on May 15th there was a pick of spring flood. After that the water level was gradually falling down. When we started our first fishing week on June 8th the conditions were pretty friendly. Water temp was unusually warm +10C and water level quite low for this early spring week. Therefore, our first group of good Rynda friends had most of pools below First Fall fishable. As...

Kharlovka week 24 ending Friday 16 June 2017

Looking back we can say that the cold conditions through the end of May has delayed the big spring thaw on the north coast by about 2-3 weeks this season. With rising water levels and plenty of snow – ice still along the banks, we decided early on to limit last week’s group of fishing warriors to 8 guests with 6 veteran guides to lead the way. This was the first trip to the ASR for the majoirity of our guests. Water levels during the week went from a challenging...

And by the end of the week river almost reached the peak. High water reduced our fishing places. Most of them are too heavy now. Nevertheless, we have to pass this flood and gradually get back to normal. Fishing wise, in the given conditions our anglers did very well! Here are some highlights we would like to share with...

Kharlovka week 24 ending 10th of June 2016

Last week was amazing! There were 12 guests from 9 different countries who were mostly returning Kharlovka veterans. The team had to endure absolutely nasty conditions that included super winds from the north gusting to 70km/hr, cold rain sleet and snow with temps of about 3-4C along with rising rivers of 20-25cm which took the level up to 54cm which was 8cm more than we had to start the season 2 weeks ago. In addition, river temps went from a balmy 10C back down to a more...

Rynda week 24 ending 10th of June 2016

As we say good-bye to another group of happy anglers we await our new group to kick of week 24 at Rynda. For once the weather forecast was spot on predicting North Westerly winds up to 20 meters per second dropping the air temperature down to as low as 1 degree. The wind, combined with rain as well as scattered snowfall was going to make this week rather special to say the least. This week we welcomed four new guests from different parts of the world who will be joining two...
