Rynda week 30, ending 24th of July

We like to welcome international teams at Rynda. In such a week we can enjoy a great mix of different traditions, characters, even fishing styles. This is exactly what happened this week – Russia, England, Ireland and France joined for fishing. The weather was still cold and cloudy here on the northern coast. Water temperature was around 10-11C for the whole week. For a couple of first two days fishing was rather tricky with 10 fish per day. Form Monday fishing started...

Kharlovka week 29 ending 17th of July 2015

Another week of perfect weather, loads of salmon, and a group full of 14 happy fishermen! Our latest group of lucky lads, along with Ingrid that lucky lady, arrived under encouragingly dark misty skies with a fresh air temperature of 8 degrees C.  In fact, the air temps ranged from 1 to 11C all week until the sun finally popped out on Friday. As a result, river temperatures remain unseasonably cool for July averaging 9 degrees C. There were also periods of light rain for...

Trout Fishing Report Week 27A – 2015

First Knee Litza and Big Trout Kharlovka. We started at First Knee Litza and the fishing was disappointing . We did not catch many fish. At the home pool during a mayfly hatch only two fish were rising. These two fish were caught several times during our stay. The weather was cold and windy. We came to Big Trout Kharlovka with great expectations as I have fished this camp early in the season several times in the past with success. We were not disappointed. From we started...

Trout Fishing Report Week 26 – 2015

Canoe group. We had a great week paddling from Scones to Dream Kharlovka. Weather conditions were variable, mainly windy and on the cold side. We started catching fish from day one, mainly using dry flies. We did not fish to rising fish until we came to Dream pool on Wednesday. Below the rapid downstream  home pool Dream we fished  caddis hatches every day regardless of the weather. The fly catching the most fish was Sømme-puppa. We were only four canoeists this year;...
