Kharlovka week 30 ending 28th of July 2017
Despite the sudden change of weather with cool winds from the north producing foggy conditions that delayed weekend transfers by several hours – last weeks group of 14 guests (Hosted by Roddy Hall the manager for Farlows Travel) – went on to have an exciting week releasing a total of 195 salmon before the big celebration on the Friday evening.
Up – Up and Away!
Following the record winter snowpack and spring thaw – the summer season has now caught up. Last week the conditions came just right providing a natural wonder as guests sat in silence eating their lunches – starring in awe at the mighty Kharlovka Falls as large salmon leaped some 3 meters – disappearing into the wild undisturbed spawning zones of the upper river..
Always a pleasure to see Richard and his South African friend Andrew back again on the ASR.
Well done to our Russian friends Dmitry and Max for many nice salmon.
And since the good veteran doctors David and Sean (and a couple others) who too busy fishing to worry about taking photos of all their fish – we would like to add a bit about one memorable day David had on the Rynda the previous week when we had the camera ready..
Congratulations to the ASR Veteran – Dr. David for releasing this solid 27 lber on the top of the Rynda at Swan Lake!
Dr. David was presented with his Rynda Big Fish ring upon returning to camp.
Nice one for Chris – the masked mozy bandit – from the Kharlovka Home pool.
Congrats to young Niklas who is 20 years old for catching more salmon during his first 2.5 days then he had caught during the 3 weeks he had tried before.
By Monday evening Niklas had already broken his P.B. 4X with 12, 18, 19, and this 28 pounder from the Kharlovka Home pool..
Well done to Enrich on his first exciting trip to the mighty Kharlovka and for landing his new P.B. 26 pounder!
Good to see Pavel back again this season – shown here releasing a bright fresh 17 pound summer salmon.
Cheers for Alex as well who we are happy to see multiple times a year.
And with the fog delays over the weekend – Volodya – the Home pool specialist – strikes again!!
Congrats for releasing this 33 pounder back on his way..
Special mention also goes out to our new friend Kamal from India! While Kamal had landed a few small salmon previously in Scotland, Kamal had 5 more good fish to his international log including a new P.B. 18 pounder.
Good friends and good fishing = another great week!
