Three rivers report for week 35/36/37 ending 14h of September 2018

Posted on 20/09/2018

Three Rivers.
Week 35.

Low water autumn conditions on the ASR coincided with a decision by the military authorities to conduct exercises within the restricted zone of the Northern Kola Peninsula leaving us with no alternative but to cancel the fishing trips for a number of our foreign guests. Whilst saddened and frustrated to have disappointed old friends in this way, a small number of old Russian friends were still most welcomed as always. It also offered us an unexpected opportunity to finally invite Maria from the office on her first big fishing adventure. In addition to enjoying every minute on the northern rivers, Maria can now cast like a champion and has learned to tie her own flies which she went on to catch her 5 first salmon and nice 3.5 kg trout – Hu Ra!

Thanks to all our Russian friends for what turned out to be a challenging yet throughly entertaining last couple of weeks of the season! For those of our guests impacted by the action of the authorities during the 2018 season, we can assure you that we continue to pursue all avenues in working closely with the authorities to ensure that such matters have as minimal an impact as possible going forward. You may be confident that this remains a central priority for us as we plan for 2019.

Looking forward to fishing with you all again next season!

Best wishes
Team Kharlovka
