Kharlovka web report for week 31 ending 3rd of August 2018
Our latest group of experienced fishing friends from mostly Norway – France and Russia arrived a brief brake in the heat wave with mild temps to start the first weekend before a few more days of bright hot conditions that were finally replaced some dark clouds and good rain and a final day result of 29 salmon to end the week. Despite the pockets of heavy rain, water levels remain very low.
Despite the challenging conditions for the majority of last week this was another team of mostly experienced fishing friends that have seen it all before and did well under the extreme conditions to combine for 85 salmon on the week – it should be know that there were nearly 2X this many salmon released last season under much more favourable conditions.
Honourable mention goes out to Team Norway and especially Svein and Are who landed their first salmon ever!
Big Fish Friday produced a pleasing 20 pounder for Tommy at the Kharlovka National Park.
Max and Odd landed 19 on their Litza overnight adventure!
And Fredrik and Jean – Paul led the way for Team France!
Great week – “tough fishing but good fun!”
With the promise of rain along with dark clouds and cooler conditions settling in over the north coast we are optimistic for our next weeks group of young passionate fishers!
