Trout Fishing Report 6b – 2019

The year 2019 at Kola peninsula is characterized by the prolonged cold weather conditions. Due to that circumstance Tundra life shows a delay of nearly 3-4 weeks in comparison to the years before. Nevertheless our group 6B consisting of BenjaminW., Benjamin A., Joel, Rafael, Andreas and Christoph (groupleader) arrived at Wulf Kharlovka just in time when stable warmer weather gained the upper hand. Group 6B The week before strong rain had rosen the waterlevel rapidly but...

Trout Fishing Report 5A – 2019

Bush Litza and Dream Kharlovka By the second week of july, the summer had not yet taken its proper grip on the tundra. An ever present northern wind prevailing for the last two weeks, had however calmed down and it all looked promising when we settled for camp by the small lake dividing the fantastic Bush piece of Litza River in two separate zones, both to be heavily explored for three days. The team was indeed a nice display of experienced tundra fishermen. From left Igor...

Trout Fishing Report 3D – 2019

Canoeing on the upper Rynda We started high up in the upper Rynda, close to “Great lakes”. Although the river and nature in general was very scenic a few important things were missing: Hatching insects and rising fish. Water temperature was around 12C which should be good. We were able to catch a few fish on streamers and the “village idiot” fish was the only one rising and being caught on dry fly. After two days we moved downstream to Lake Torosman. During the move we had...
