Three rivers report for week 35/36/37 ending 14h of September 2018

Three Rivers. Week 35. Low water autumn conditions on the ASR coincided with a decision by the military authorities to conduct exercises within the restricted zone of the Northern Kola Peninsula leaving us with no alternative but to cancel the fishing trips for a number of our foreign guests. Whilst saddened and frustrated to have disappointed old friends in this way, a small number of old Russian friends were still most welcomed as always. It also offered us an unexpected...

Rynda week 32 ending 10th of August 2018

The weather! It changed after a month of hot sunny weather to something more likely you expect at the north coast of the Kola Peninsula! The air temp went down to 10-12C and the water temp responded quickly – reduced from 17C to 12C. The only problem was a very low water. But anyway, this big weather change made fishing life much easier. Now our international team from all over the world was searching for fish with enthusiasm, experimenting with fishing tactic and flies....

Rynda week 31 ending 3rd of August 2018

The very hot and low water season is the often topic for salmon anglers’ conversations this year. New international French-UK-USA-Swiss team was dealing with the most difficult conditions. The water level reached its absolute minimum this week. Even short rain did not move the level up. Nevertheless, the team did well, trying to find fish in rapids and small pockets. The most productive beat was Saami and down stream. Using all small hitched Sunrays and Golden Killer our...

Rynda week 30 ending 27th of July 2018

This week our old German-French-British fishing friends were fishing at Rynda. Again, as the previous week, the challenge was – fishing in the hottest ever conditions. Both rivers Rynda and Zolotaya were losing 2-3 cm each day and by the end of the week reached a difficult low level. Low water together with cloudless bright sky rose the water temp up to 21C. Despite all of that, our team had 60 fish and many lost, so it was tough but good fun. One important moment happened...

Rynda week 29 ending 20th of July 2018

This week we all will remember as a week with extremely difficult weather conditions. Clear blue skies and hot south wind made the water temp steeply risen from 15 to 20.5C. Together with the low water level, such circumstances required persistence from our anglers along with an individual fishing approach. And of course, Luck is a good thing to have. This week we were fishing with our good friends. Most of these anglers we know for many years and we are always happy to...

Rynda week 28 ending 13th of July 2018

This week Rynda camp welcomed our good friends and regular anglers from England. We have been fishing together for many years and we enjoyed such a great team! The weather was comfortable for the first half of the week: breezy north wind and clouds. The low water level was not a problem. Every day catch for the team was around 25 fish. From Thursday the weather changed to sun and south wind. As we now know, that hot was the beginning of the huge hot wave which covered the...

Rynda week 27 ending 6th of July 2018

186 fish – this was the fishing result for our Rynda anglers last week! The weather was friendly during the week. Warm days mixed nicely with cloudy and windy days. Water temp moved from 7C to 12C, the level was constantly dropping 2 cm per day. And by the end of the week the water level reached quite low figures. Such conditions were very comfortable for fishing and let us use wide range of fishing techniques – from sinking lines to surface flies. Of course, fishing on the...

ASR web report for weeks 25 and 26 ending Friday 29 June

Young fishers visit the ASR. Unfortunately we received short notice that the military authorities would conduct operations within the restricted zone of the Northern Kola Peninsula during the two week period of 16th – 30th June 2018. As a consequence, we were deeply disappointed not to be able to welcome our regular guests/friends on to these weeks. However, Vladimir and the staff were delighted to be able to seize the chance to provide a unique and unexpected opportunity...

Rynda week 24 ending 15th of June 2018

International team of anglers was fishing this week at Rynda! We welcomed our old and new friends from 6 different countries. On Sunday Chuck rose the bar quite high by landing beautiful sea liced 24 lbs at Croy Pool. The rest of the week Chuck did well and landed 9 fish in total. Good job! The weather this week was not easy for fishing. Low Rynda is an open place and all the week Northern winds chilled to the marrow. The air temp was hanging around 5C. Only the last day –...

Rynda week 23 ending 9th of June 2018

Last week Rynda camp welcomed our six old friends from France, Switzerland, United Kingdom and Russia. The photos can’t reflect the tough conditions which fishermen faced during the week. The air and water temperature were not far from 0C. By the end of the week the water temp finally reached 4C. The strong northern wind with sleet and hailstone were regularly testing the fishing spirit of our anglers. Water level wise the week was ok. The peak of the flood this...
