Perfect time! This is the headline for this week at the Rynda river. Rynda guests were successfully using the full spectrum of fishing tactics from sinking, intermediate and floating lines along with tubes, doubles, singles and hitched flies! Rynda week 27 ending 7th of July 2017

Last week was a start of the summer here in tundra. Water level dropped 30 cm during the week. The week started with unbelievably low water temp of 4C and by the end of the week the water temp reached 10C! Along with the water level dropping this fact changed fishing in a big way. Rynda week 25 ending 23th of June 2017

We had a challenging week with big rising water and cold conditions. It was a bit like fishing in Gin&Tonic water under icy rain! The Rynda River reached its peak and then stayed at this huge level whole week. This along with cold (1.5C) water temps kept most of the salmon down at the lower Sea pool. Late and cold spring finally exploded! As a result, during the week Rynda was rising in a big way adding 10-16 cm to the water measuring stick every day. And by the end of the week river almost reached the peak. High water reduced our fishing places. Most of them are too heavy now. Rynda week 23 ending 9th of June 2017

This was the first week of the season 2017. The short description leading up to our opening week could be ‘Record amounts of snow along with a very-very late spring’. Snow levels along the northern coast topped an 80-year high last winter. This in addition to the late arrival of spring with the low air temperatures for most of May has produced low water conditions and huge snow banks to start the season.
